What a difference a year makes!

It’s always interesting to look back a year and see what the last New Year’s Day celebration looked like compared to this year.

Although we have cool weather today we are expecting to see strong southwest winds pickup early in the morning and push our high up to as high as 40 degrees before falling again in the afternoon on Saturday January 2, 2010.

January 1, 2009 we saw a trace of snow flurries with a high of 37 and a low of 16 degrees. A fairly normal day by climate standards.

January 2nd of last year was a different matter. A high of 34 with a low of -18! On top of that we received 6.2 inches of snow in 24 hours.

That’s what makes Montana’s weather interesting. Never boring!

Happy New Year!
