Winter Storm Hits Great Falls!

A winter wonderland for us the last 12-18 hours. About half a foot of snow and still snowing. We expect it to end later tonight and then clear out with sunshine but “very” cold temperatures. Our high Wednesday 1 above zero with a low of -13.  By Friday we should see sunshine and climb back up to 32 degrees.

I have included a few shots of Gibson Park pond with the kids and adults playing on the ice and snow, while the geese are staying “off” the snow and ice and are camped out on the sidewalk.

The city crews are doing a good job of keeping the main streets plowed but we still feel the effects of the December ice storm with frozen ice under the snow. We need a GOOD chinook!
