Sneakers are gone and somewhere blowing in the wind!

Another windy day, strong winds then expected as a front crosses the state. A high wind warning has been posted for the Rocky Mountain Front area and our peak wind gust so far has been 42 mph.

Last week I mention the sneakers hanging over the power line on Fox Farm Road. I guess these strong gusty winds have sent them sailing (or the power company took them down in the middle of the night). At any rate they have disappeared after hanging on the wire across from the Meadowlark School since the first of July!

The wind should decrease toward evening but return again tomorrow. Once again it looks like gusts under 30 mph, but that is what the computer models were all saying about today and the wind has been much stronger!

The good thing is temperatures will return upward into the 70’s by Wednesday and 80’s Thursday.

Have a great day!
