Our wind has decreased to just a breeze!

Overlook Park this morning

We finally have watched a strong low pressure system in southern Canada move eastward enough to get rid of our strong winds of the past two days! The flag at Overlook park was gently moving in the breeze.

We were hoping the wind would keep the clouds away but not this morning. We are seeing on satellite images that the clouds are breaking up fairly quickly this afternoon. When the sun does peek through the clouds during the noon hour it felt very warm!

We are still on track to see sunshine and warmer weather as we head for the end of the week and the weekend. Highs in the upper 70’s and 80’s will become common as high pressure once again dominates our weather pattern.

Glancing at our normal temperatures and records, we can expect about anything this time of the year. Our record high for today is 101 degrees set in 2002. Our record low was 41 that goes way back to 1912.

Our normal high and low are 82 and 50 degrees. So we should be getting back to normal in no time at all!

Have a great day!
