Two more rounds of rodeo action!

Ike Sankey who supplies the livestock for the Fair chatting with Richie Melby

The rodeo continues for another couple of performances and the weather is heating up for the contestants. Ike Sankey has been providing the livestock for many years and he brings some tough animals to stay on! Richie has been sticking close to the chutes with Greg Smith keeping our viewers up to date on all the action.

We are watching the atmosphere this afternoon for potential rain and thunderstorms. Some may become severe with large hail and damaging winds. We will know closer to 5 pm before we set up for our last live broadcast at the State Fair. If we get lightning, that will keep us away. Lightning and our microwave tower on the truck makes for a deadly combination.

What a great time we have had covering the Fair again this year. The grounds staff have been very helpful and the Fair visitors have not been shy about coming up and saying hello. Thanks for watching KRTV year-round. We really appreciate you all.

Now it’s time to get ready for show-time!
