School bells are ringing again & it’s hot!

Great Falls public schools are open for business today and by the time students are headed home it should be closing in on 90 degrees! What a welcome for the first day of school, although this morning was pleasant.

A repeat tomorrow with sunny skies and a hot high in the mid 90’s. Tough to take in the classroom with temperatures like that! Gusty winds are a strong possibility tomorrow. The result is a Red Flag Warning has been posted for most of the state Thursday afternoon and evening. Eastern Montana winds will continue until 9 pm Friday evening.

Heat relief arrives before the end of the first school week. The gusty winds are ahead of a cold front that is moving our way. By Friday highs should be in the 70’s.

Our weekend looks cool as well compared to the 90’s!

Saturday a few showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon with a high in the lower 70’s.

Sunday mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms and a high in the mid 60’s.

Not the greatest camping weather but it certainly could be worse!
