Red Flag Warning Continues, cooler Friday!

So far the hottest day of the year and the second day of school for the Great Falls students, tough to stay cool with the gusty warm wind up to 30 mph as well!

A dry cold front rushes through the state overnight forcing Friday temperatures down very quickly into the 70’s. Imagine that from mid and upper 90’s today to low and mid 70’s in 24 hours. The heat relief will feel good.

Our record high for today in Great Falls is 97 that goes back to 1894. We are already at 94 degrees and the heating for this afternoon is not over yet. You may find this blog entry updated with new records after they are released this evening!

Weekend outings are likely to be damp with showers and thunderstorms and the temperatures dropping into the 60’s. That is Montana weather for you!
