Weekend warm & ends cool! Mountain Snow?

It seems in Montana both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends tend to have a day or two of uncomfortable weather.  Seems like a tradition, but at least the whole weekend isn’t involved this year!

A disturbance from the west arriving Sunday evening could bring snow to as low as 6,000′ during the evening and 7,000′ during the day Monday. The best advice if camping this weekend is to be prepared for anything. That is sunshine and warm Saturday but cooler and damper Sunday and Monday.

The good news to report is that Hurricane Earl is forecast to graze the east coast from the Carolinas northward to Maine. The National Hurricane Center says Earl will move northward and is not expected to hit land fall.

The good news for us is the “pack up and get ready day” (Friday) looks warm and dry. Enjoy your day!
