A very successful Day of Giving, Warmer too!

It is the third year that the annual Day of Giving has been held at Pierce Carpet Mill Outlet. The Salvation Army, The Food Bank and the Toys for Tots program all set up shop to accept donations.

Last year it was -26 at 6am in the morning when it kicked off. This morning was much warmer and the warmer temperatures added to the success.

Here is a picture from the two hour shift that Sports Director Richie Melby and I put in during the late morning and noon hour. Temperatures in the 30’s with chinook winds made it very pleasant compared to last year, when it became so cold my watch stopped and had to be tossed away. I never did replace that watch, there are clocks everywhere…even on the BlackBerry that was used to take the picture!

I hope you had a chance to participate and meet many of the KRTV crew members who worked from 6am – 6pm!
