Snow falling in parts of the state today!

The latest weather system has been very selective about where it drops snowfall. Radar shows the snow gradually ending and at least so far the most lower elevation snow reports are 6″ in Fort Benton, 5 inches in both Havre and the Knees near Dutton, as well as 4″ at both Harlem and Chinook.

Driving conditions are not very good in eastern Montana with blowing snow and cold temperatures expected tonight.

A second quick system Sunday could deliver more snow to western Montana, while places like Great Falls could warm up enough to see both snow and rain showers. In December? Yes anything is possible!
