Coldest temperatures of the season tonight! Records may fall.

It appears like January weather is moving into late February! Tonight looks to be the coldest for temperatures of the season! Wind chill advisories have just been extended until 11 pm tonight in Central Montana. Eastern Montana has a wind chill advisory until Noon Friday!

Sub-zero temperatures and any amount of wind will put a big stress on new calves and those outdoors during calving season. It is too bad it will get this cold during this time of the year.

Don’t forget your pets! They need protection as well and if you are going to be outdoors, bundle up. Exposed skin and freeze in short order with the temperatures and the wind that may be blowing as well. Even a 5 mph wind makes a difference, just walking and you can feel the difference!

Be careful, cautious and check the website often for changing weather conditions!
