Gusty winds put whitecaps on the Missouri!

Strong Chinook winds mean extra heavy-duty hairspray today. This photo shows whitecaps on the Missouri as gusts approach 50 mph today!

Whitecaps rockin’ the Missouri

We can expect Chinook winds this time of the year which is causing rapid snowmelt and some flooding problems in Central Montana. The National Weather Service graphics pretty well tell the story. Beware of high water.

It appears that temperatures will remain close to the mid 40’s this week, which will cause more melting during the daytime, along with the isolated chance of seeing some rain and snow showers.

The street sweepers are busy today trying to sweep up all the gravel that is being blown around, before the next storm comes.

Have a great day!
