Self melting snow is winding down!

Snow on the lawns, trees, but melting quickly!

A strong storm system is pumping plenty of moisture into the state today. The snow that has been falling is what I call “self-shoveling” snow. It’s wet enough and the pavement warm enough that given time it melts! Even off the trees later in the day! See the NWS graphics below.

There is a chance of snow and rain over the region as the storm system moves eastward. Storm warnings and advisories are due to expire at 6 pm. Be caution driving as many roads are slushy.

Overnight mostly cloudy with a few lingering snow showers. Low around 30.

Saturday mostly sunny with southwest winds up to 20 mph and that will warm us up and melt the snow on the lawns too. High near 50.

Sunday partly sunny with mid 50’s and gusty winds near 30 mph.

Drive safe and I hope you enjoy your evening!
