We are getting a good soaking!

It started raining last night and hasn’t stopped yet.  A strong low pressure system is pulling wet weather into Montana with snow above 6,000′ and rain at the lower elevations. Over 1/2″ has fallen in both Great Falls and Helena so far and more on the way!

Rainfall at 1 pm today...still raining!

Rain gradually tapers off  Tuesday and by Wednesday the sun will be back out and very warm temperatures begin to appear, popping out leaves and other buds that are just getting a good start. Those who mowed their lawns before the rain storm certainly had the right idea.

The rain is also causing streams and creeks to swell. Belt Creek near Armington Junction has risen one foot in 24 hours and officials are keeping an eye on that part of the river.

High Water Concerns

I hope you have a nice evening!
