Rain and flooding expected this weekend!

We must keep our guard up this weekend as rain is expected to continue through today and Saturday, and even a chance of additional rainfall on Sunday! That means the already saturated ground will not be able to absorb water as well as it would normally. Pay attention to rising creeks, streams and rivers as the rainfall continues to fall, even at higher elevations.

Here is a National Weather Service graphic with estimated rain totals, many areas will see well over an inch or two!

As you can see areas like Stanford, Lewistown and even Fort Benton could see some very heavy moisture. If you plan on being outdoors be careful of water covered roadways, rising creeks streams and rivers. Remember, if you see water of the roadway, turn around- don’t down!
