This shot I took at the rest area between Cascade and Wolf Creek. Not a blade of grass around to step on so I found the sign kind of making a statement, but wish there was green grass there to great visitors.Despite all the snow and rain this winter and summer, warm winds, sunshine and hot temperatures are taking a toll on the soil.
A weak cold front has moved across the state leaving cool and comfortable temperatures behind it. Highs in the 80’s this afternoon. By Friday much warmer air takes over with highs climbing into the upper 80’s and 90’s and staying in place this weekend.
Overnight mostly clear and mild with a low around 50.
Friday afternoon with sunshine and wind gusts near 30 mph we expect to see a high in the upper 80’s.
Saturday sunny with a high of 90.
Sunday sunny and warmer with a high peaking at 95 degrees.
Monday partly sunny with a few isolated showers and thunderstorms. High near 90.
Tuesday and Wednesday mostly sunny with a high in the upper 80’s.
